Thank you so much for sharing this, my boyfriend and I have just found out that we may be moving to Abbotsford in the next month or so. I have been really nervous about it, but reading this made me excited about starting our life there! Thank you.

As for your question, personally I like East Abbotsford the best, but West Abbotsford has that nice new mall and movie theater, and Central Abbotsford is growing too. The whole city is growing. Depends on what you like. You should come and explore if you're thinking about moving here. You may not have the same preferences as I do. :)

Living The Dream

I love your story! And love your webpage. I came across it browsing about more information about Abbotsford. This beautiful place has also encaptured my family. We currently live in Calgary, but are originally from the UK, and accidentally stumbled upon Abbotsford upon driving to Hope; we kept on driving and lo and behold it just reached out to us. We only managed to stay one day, which sounds funny that a person can decide on an area in one day, but we did. So from that day, which was last summer, we are putting our plan into action to move there. We are looking at homes and jobs and are planning on driving there this summer for a visit.

Your journey sounds amazing and I hope you find work of something you enjoy. I would love to follow your progress on your journey and hope your husband makes it there real soon! Perhaps one day our paths may cross while shopping in the quaint downtown area!

 Welcome to Abbotsford! :)

Hi Andrea! Wow, your discovery of Abbotsford sounds similar to mine... we were on our way back to Saskatoon after a short visit to Vancouver, and we stopped in Abbotsford on our way back. I also immediately felt the connection to this little city... Isn't that amazing?!

I hope you'll make it here soon! As for my husband, I am going to post an announcement here pretty soon about his arrival in Abbotsford... because that's the intention I put out into the Universe: he is going to be joining us before or by this summer, no matter what! And ever since we made that decision, it seems like job opportunities are popping up for him, and we've been sending out applications for him a lot lately... we're just waiting for the right one to contact him, and before we know it, he'll have moved here too and we can be a whole family again, after 4 years of being in a long distance relationship.

As for myself, I'm planning on writing a book about our journey... :) In fact, I have started already. ;) I may decide to upload parts of chapters from the book to start marketing it. I'm very excited about it! :)
